Tofu is one of those foods that people either love or hate and to be honest it really comes down to the type of tofu and the prep.
Tofu can totally taste like soggy cardboard I get it. However once you learn to prepare it (and it’s so easy) you will see that it’s actually a super versatile food that can be a fun and TASTY addition to your meals.
Just as an example, some of the things we have made using tofu are;
– Cream cheese
– Stir Fry
– Chocolate Mousse
– TERIYAKI Burger Patties (will have to share this recipe soon!)
And I promise you this recipe will not disappoint and is kid approved! Great with some tomato dipping sauce.
1 block firm tofu (450g)
2 TBS nutritional yeast
2 Tsp chickpea flour
1 tsp Himalayan salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp fried oregano
1 tsp curry powder
Cut tofu into bitesize cubes, pat with paper towel to dry off any extra moisture and set aside.
In a zip lock bag or in a bowl mix all other ingredients.
Add tofu and shake until completely coated. Cook until slight browned – this will not take long. In our air fryer this takes about 6mins. In the oven on baking paper around 10mins but keep an eye on them you don’t want them drying out.
Serve with cashew cheese or tomato sauce to dip! Enjoy!
